1. Optimize Your Account
Take a Look at Your Bio
Start by making sure your Instagram account is optimized! What do I mean by this? Take a look at your account as if you were viewing it for the first time... Does it tell the viewer exactly what it is your businesses offers? Are you clear about what kind of content they can expect to see if they follow you? Does your account actually serve up that content you promised? If not, start by editing your bio so it more accurately reflects your brand and content.
The bio on your account should be short and to the point with a sprinkle of your brand's personality, or what differentiates you from other accounts or businesses that are similar. This may seem obvious but if your having a hard time growing your following your "first impression" could be what's holding you back.
Is Your Brand Consistent
Consistency in social media is very important. We've seen accounts struggle with is using a different username from their other social accounts or even not using their business name as the username! For example, a username that they feel makes sense for their product or service but isn't their brand name. Just like your username, make sure your profile pictures are the same from account to account, the photos and graphics you are sharing have a similar look and feel to them so it's easy for people to recognize your page when they're searching for you on social media. Being easy to find allows more people to easily follow you. It's as simple as that!

Collaborate With Other Brands
And lastly, in my experience as a Social Media Manager, I've found that the quickest way to grow a following is to collaborate! Giveaways, styled shoots, or a simple "if you share my post or comment, I'll do the same for you" approach are all great ways you can get your brand in front of your target audiences and grow your following.
Engage With Your Audience
This one may be obvious, but don't forget to comment back, respond to your DM's, and spend time getting to know your audience! Your followers aren't just a number. They are real people with dreams, hobbies, interests, struggles, etc. Spend a little time getting to know them! Spark conversation in their comments or respond to their stories and get to know them. The more time you spend engaging with your audience and building genuine relationships the better for your brand in the long run.
By collaborating and spending time engaging with your audience, not only do you develop stronger relationships and develop a deeper understanding of your audience, but your brand is also now getting in front of more people that are likely to be interested in what you have to offer. Which in turn increases the number of eyes on your posts and page and ultimately increases your followers.
