We’re sure you’ve seen this phrase being thrown around - “comfort creator” but what does that mean exactly? It’s another trend that shows how people are tired of curated social media. They want to see real, authentic, raw content. In other words, relatable content.


This is manifesting in “comfort creators” who are creators that have taken it upon themselves to share about their brand, business, or even personal life in as authentic a way as possible. Whether you’re a business owner, brand, or aspiring influencer, the concept of “comfort creator” is something you should definitely be paying attention to. 


While “comfort creator” can insinuate that it’s more for a personal brand or influencer, it doesn’t mean just that. As a business owner or even brand owner, you can still create authentic and relatable content. Think UGC (user-generated content) or even EGC (employee-generated content). It’s your product or service through the lens of your customers and employees. This automatically makes the content feel more real.


Another great tip for our small brand/business owners would be to consider putting yourself in the content. People like to see people, especially the faces behind a brand or business. There is a feel-good sentiment to supporting a person over a faceless business. You may be surprised at how supportive your audience can be. Don’t worry though, this doesn’t mean you have to be your brand’s 24/7 content creator, but appearing in a few posts here and there can make a big impact.



  1. Engagement is happening where?


It’s happening in the DMs…yes you read that right, in the DMs. A 2025 social media prediction based on engagement data from the previous year showcases that your community doesn’t always lie in the comments anymore. That community interaction is happening a lot more in direct messages.


Why is this? Going back to relatable content, your audience wants to interact with you, your brand, or your business. This can feel more authentic and genuine in a direct message conversation versus just a quick reply in the comments.


The great thing about this prediction? It’s an easy task that can make a HUGE impact on cultivating a community. Set aside some time for those conversations in your DMs and watch how your community becomes even more loyal.

We know that short-form content is here to stay and is only growing. How can you stand out among the masses? If 2024 has taught us anything, it’s that social media can go away at any moment. With data privacy laws playing a bigger role as we move forward, now is the time to diversify your content if you aren’t already. Post to other platforms, especially because cross-posting is easier than ever!


Now this doesn’t mean that you need to be on every single platform. That’s quite difficult these days. Rather, take a look at your demographic and identify other platforms they may be on and start posting there too. This is the easiest way to get started and ensures you are reaching people beyond one platform.

  1. SEO and keyword-rich captions


We used to constantly talk about hashtags and while they haven’t gone away completely, you’re better off learning about SEO and how to have keyword-rich captions. SEO (search-engine optimization) is how your content gets seen and if you can master it, you will succeed in 2025.


When you are posting, remember that SEO is everywhere. Think in the captions, in the on-screen text, in your closed captions, and even in your hashtags. Use specific keywords about your brand or business so that your content can be found, seen, and hopefully shared.
